GORDANA KALJALOVIĆ ODANOVIĆ

Gordana Kaljalović

Born 1951 Belgrade. Graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts, Belgrade, department of sculpture 1975 and from the Faculty of Philology 1977. Completed postgraduate studies at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Belgrade. Worked as a curator in the Gallery of Army s Club 1978-93. Residential stay at Cite International des Arts in Paris 1986 and 1990.

From 1993 to 2016 employed at the Academy of Fine Arts University of Novi Sad. As a full-time professor from 2006 to 2016, where she was teaching graduate and master studies. Member of The Association of Fine Art s Artists of Serbia. Took part in the symposium of Balkan artists in Greece, Samotrace 1999.

Held 28 personal exhibitions and about 20 curatorial projects in Serbia, Ex Yugoslavia and Greece.

Took part in over 200 group exhibitions in Serbia, ex Yugoslavia and abroad. Received several awards.

Her sculpture Rainbow was installed in sculpture park in Finland /at Kakslautaneen/ 2005.

Held workshop for students under Outside project in Florence in 2005, 2006, 2007.

Beside sculpture in metal, wood, glass, her work comprises wide spectrum of media and themes, such as installations, video, video-sculpture.
